GAICO is an entity with no profitable aims created to accomplish the following purposes:

A. To tend towards the study and clinical research in oncology.
B. To contribute to the progress of clinical oncology and to carry out research works and clinical studies dedicated to this aim.
C. To promote the establishment of relations and interchange with scientific societies from the country and from abroad, which carry out works with the same objectives.
D. To publish works of scientific interest concurrent to the progress of clinical oncology and to the formation of professionals in the specialty.
E. To foster the cooperation with official and/or private entities whose activities are related to diverse branches of oncology in order to promote its scientific progress.
F. To organize scientific meetings, conferences or congresses of the specialty.
